Screw-in & MR-16 LED (Light Emitting Diodes)

NEW PRODUCTS
Elite Lighting is excited to announce the launch of the LED Decorative Series.

LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) are small, solid light bulbs which are extremely energy-efficient. Until recently, LEDs were limited to single-bulb use in applications such as instrument panels, electronics, pen lights and, more recently, strings of indoor and outdoor Christmas lights. Manufacturers have expanded the application of LEDs by "clustering" the small bulbs.

Very high quality LED’s provide long lasting performance. All LED’s are matched for color and CRI. 50,000-hour life is based on functional light quality. The body of each lamp is solid aluminum. The aluminum of each lamp acts as a heat-sink providing thermo heat conductivity. This keeps the LED junction temperature well below the manufacturer’s specification. The lamps stay cool and the lumens are maintained for longer life.

  • 30% reduction in total electricity production resulting in over 115 million metric tons of carbon

Return on Investment

  • LED lighting eliminates the need for heavy bulb inventory for facilities
  • Labor cost saved due to no maintenance

Choosing an LED lightbulb

Many different models and styles of LED bulbs are emerging in today's marketplace. When choosing a bulb, keep in mind the following:

  • Estimate desired wattage - read the package to choose desired illumination level. For example, a 3W LED is equivalent in output to a 45 Watt incandescent.
  • Choose between warm and white light - new LED bulbs are available in white light, which is ideal for task lighting, jewelry showcase lighting and recessed can and track lighting. 'Warm' light is commonly used for accent or small area lighting.
  • Standard base or pin base - LEDs are available in several types of 'pin' sockets (MR-16) or the standard "screw' (Edison) bases for recessed or track lighting.
