Terms and Conditions of Sale

Payment Terms

Unless special terms are in place, payment on each invoice is due within 30 days from the invoice date. Any balance unpaid at such time will bear interest at the rate of 1 ½ % per month (ANNUAL PERCENTAGE RATE of 18%). Purchaser also agrees to pay any costs incurred by Elite Lighting Company in enforcing the terms of this agreement.

Freight

Prepaid on all light bulb orders of $100.00. The following exception applies to all deliveries not in our delivery service territory: Fluorescent tubes measuring over five (5) feet will be shipped prepaid if they are part of a combined order totaling (5) cases.

Return Policy

A Return Goods Authorization (RGA) must be obtained from our customer service department before returning any goods. Transportation charges for all returns must be prepaid by purchaser. A copy of the original; purchase invoice must accompany all returns. Final credit will be determined after inspection of merchandise. Return shipments sent C.O.D. will not be accepted.

Defective Merchandise

At Elite’s option, we will replace merchandise without charge or allow credit on the merchandise if, after inspection, the merchandise is found to be defective due to workmanship and materials. Please note that we must have returned to us any problem lamp as we do reserve the right to inspect the product.

Lost or Damaged Shipments

When your shipment arrives: Via commercial truck.

The driver will ask for a signature.

  1. Please examine the carton closely before signing delivery ticket.
  2. Write the number of damaged cartons on all receipts. Make sure driver signs all bills denoting proof of damage.
  3. Save the cartons if you find damage. Responsibility for safe delivery is assumed by the carrier upon acceptance of the shipment at the shipping point. In the event merchandise is lost or damaged, the fright bill must be so noted. Advise our office and forward the original copy of the fright bill to Elite Lighting and we will make the fright claim for you.
  4. Absolutely no claims will be honored after five (5) days of receipt of delivery by customer. Please advise our office immediately if merchandise is lost, short, or damaged.

When your shipment arrives: Via UPS or FEDERAL EXPRESS

  1. Shipments should be received even if there is damage.
  2. Call our sales office to report damage.
  3. Replacements will be issued for the damaged merchandise.

Shortages

Customer must notify Elite Lighting Company within five (5) working days of the shipment. Any claims for shortages made after the 5 day time frame will not be considered.
